OC Applications
How do I submit my application?
After reading through the rules on How to Join, Jump into our Discord during the application period, and introduce yourselves. In our preserver you can brainstorm with us and speak about your Pirate concept with Moderators! After you've created your Pirate and received the approval to join from the Mods, we require a complete Written Biography and Art Application to be accepted and join our ranks. Of the two apps we require, the Written App should be your priority as completing it and having an approved character will allow you reserve your spot in the group even after the deadline has been reached.

Both Art Files are .PSD (Photoshop) files but can be edited them using the art program of your choice. Save them as a PNG or JPEG when submitting them.
After you've joined our discord and have been approved to join by the moderators, submit your character sheet and profile picture to the group art channels. Both your character sheet and profile picture will be featured in our group database (only available after joining the server), so please make sure to include art and text with a clear resolution.
This group is for everyone, but as we're a group based equal parts both in written and visual mediums, there are a few requirements for applicants joining:

Art for the character sheet must be made by/belong to the person applying to join.

We do not accept using/editing another person's private or commercial artworks to represent your character.

We also do not accept images generated from using LLM and AI programs. Attempting to use them will result in an immediate BAN.

Commissions are acceptable to use for the Art Application, but your commissioned artist MUST BE CREDITED in one way or another on your application.

While the rp content in the group embraces mature themes, keep the content of your character sheet SFW (safe for work)

Do not include include any nudity or excess blood​.

We do not allow characters under the age of 18 or designs that bear strong resemblances to children.

Likewise we also don't allow characters who stopped aging to appear as minors, like in the case of Sugar.

Avoid copying designs/looks of canonical characters to the best of your ability

The moderators will inform you if ​any changes are necessary to be accepted, please work with them as we want you to join in on the fun!

What are feats?
The concept of FEATS may be familiar to those of you with experience in D&D; Feats are preset abilities that give your character specific talents or an area of expertise, along with special whatever advantages or unique options come with them in the right situation.
Currently, each pirate that joins has the option of selecting one of our preset Feats from this list, or suggesting your own for approval!
These can be related to your Pirate's role in their crew, quirks, or whatever unique talents they may possess due to their experience on the sea or upbringing.

Does your Pirate have an iron will like Zoro or Luffy?

Are they a Pirate with a history of academia and a plethora of knowledge?

Can they use their survivalist instincts and skills to explore an island?
Keep in mind these abilities have specific functions, featured for use in role-play situations and NOT APPLICABLE TO COMBAT. They can also be swapped out or exchanged between story beats, so don't feel pressured to commit to the wrong choice!

Also, abilities that are a result of your OC's race (such as a Fish-folk's ability to breathe underwater, or a dwarf's size advantage) don't count as their own unique ability, unfortunately. The possibilities for what your Pirate is capable of can be nearly anything you'd like within reason. If you're unsure, always consult the Mods for approval.
