Joining the Worst of the Worst
Before joining, be sure to familiarize yourself with the Setting and Story of the events in this group. The WOTW Storyline revolves around the newly announced Pirate Festival and competition between 5 pirate crews -- each of which is 10 members strong -- battling for control over the secrets of a chain of long undiscovered islands in the One Piece universe.
The StrawHat Pirates current whereabouts are unknown and as such they have no influence or involvement in the story set to unfold.
At this current time, only PIRATES are allowed to join the WOTW, either leading one of the five available crews, or participating in one. We are not making any exceptions for Marines or independent parties.
CREATING YOUR PIRATE:
-
Our Story begins roughly 4 years after the current Arc in One Piece continuity (Egghead Arc), that's 6 years post time-skip!
Your Pirates must be completely original characters, with no existing close relationships or ties to known Canon characters within One Piece allowed.
-
Ex) A pirate who was in a romantic relationship with a Straw Hat crewmate, or a previously unmentioned child of a Canon Pirate (with exception of Big Mom) is not allowed.
-
Being an ex-crewmate of a known large Pirate Fleet, such as Whitebeard's or Kaido's is acceptable.
-
All Pirates joining must be over the age of 18.
-
-
Pirates backstories however, can include being affected by the Canon events in One Piece.
-
Ex) Pirates can include backstories of being a freed toy after the events of Dressrosa, a participant of the Impel Down Jailbreak, or an inspired rebel from Alabasta, etc.
-
If they are involved with any specific Canon events within One Piece's story, we will work alongside you to make sure everything adds up correctly timeline-wise.
 -
If you wish to include another member's OC in your backstory, please consult them first for approval and consistency between your characters before doing so.
-
-
You're expected to have come to Icarous Island with a goal in mind; As we mentioned previously in our STORY, the world at large was unaware that this island even existed -- let alone held such possibility until Bartolomew Spring invited the Worst of the Worst to its shores.
-
Almost all known races in the One Piece World are available to use for your Pirate, but keep in mind this is largely an aesthetic choice. Results of your fights or action in the group will be determined by your stats and our D&D like combat system, and not the in-world strengths of your race.
-
Some races, such as members of the D. Clan or rarer may be limited in accepted entries. Reach out to our moderators for approval before submitting your character.

-
This is a RP group that explores mature themes and content within the One Piece world, all Pirates are required to be 18 years of age or older.
-
Our focus is on story, with the intent to embrace both Dramatic and Comedic themes...but please keep in mind that some themes of One Piece include many topics others may be sensitive to: Including race, poverty and injustice.
-
We ask that you be respectful of all members of this group and do not pursue any of this with members who are uncomfortable with this subject matter.
-
-
In general, we expect members to be able to self-manage their own behaviors and actions towards others; Be courteous, Be patient with, and most importantly, Be considerate of those around you.
-
Forcing another member to engage in NSFW content or forcefully ship your characters together is unacceptable and may result in a permanent ban.
-
-
Each Pirate in the WOTW is expected to be capable of fighting/combat. The Grand Line and New World can challenge even the toughest Pirates, they are expected to be able to defend themselves should the going get tough.
-
It's okay to have a weaker character or one that isn't specialized for combat, not every fight can be won by brute strength.
 -
If you choose another route, such as relying on inventions or unique weaponry/techniques to fight other Pirate crews, consult with the Moderators and let us know what you have in mind.
-
BECOMING A PIRATE CAPTAIN:
-
Including Pirates that belong to Management and Moderators, Grand Crew: WOTW is currently only allowing a Maximum of 5 Crews, 10 members strong. Each led by a single Pirate Captain taking charge in the Grand Crew Festival intent on leading their crews to victory.
Although everyone will join with a standard pirate. Crewmates in Grand Crew will have the chance to become a Captain after joining with a fully approved character.
-
Currently 3 Captains (made by Moderators) are operating on Icarous island, each with their own goals and motivations to seek the secret of the island for their own gain. 2 Captain Slots remain available.
Our Mod Team will interview potential Captains, and approve/deny those we believe are capable of holding the position or not. Being a Captain is a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED opportunity and we will not allow more than 5 active captains for the time being.
-
Captain roles can only be claimed by candidates that have had their join requests approved and apply explaining what their goal as a captain is and what kind of crew they intend to be.
-
Reasons why one may be barred from creating a new Captain can include but isn't limited to: Inability to meet this criteria, Previous behavior/rule based demerits, or low activity observed as a regular member of the server.

-
As the group grows, or applications exceed a certain amount, the opportunity for new pirate crews to join the festival will arise. We also have introduced options to change which crew you belong to or even branch off on your own.
