Character Creation
As the story of the Worst of the Worst continues and your Pirate begins to uncover the mysteries of the island, there will be times when you'll need to prove yourself as a force to be reckoned with. Part of creating your Pirate is realizing where their strengths lie and how they'll contribute to their crew!

Please familiarize yourself by the core mechanics below used to build the foundation for fighting against your rival crews!
What are Character Stats?
In both the Character Database and Biography App, character's STATS are prominent. These 5 factors determine how your character may approach an obstacle and how effectively they deal with it both in and outside of combat.

Since opportunities to improve STATs are rare, your focus should be geared towards which ones reflect your character's role in their crew; a fearless captain who boasts their strength, a talented marksman that supports them from afar with their skill, or a battle-forged fighter acting as a shield for their crewmates.

As a character grows in strength they'll eventually gain access to Haki, a mysterious power. But while not everyone has access to Haki - let alone Conqueror's Haki - keeping the rest of your STATS high and on par with others regardless will allow you to stay a force to be reckoned with in the festival!
These 5 primary Character Stats are your focus if you wish to grow in WOTW:

HP
Your character's bodily health. HP (Hit Points) decide how long you can fight before being KO'd, or how well you handle tests of fortitude.
Every character's starts with HP Totals of 5 + your HP STAT level, up to a maximum of 15 HP

STRENGTH
Your character's pure physicality; from throwing fists, to swinging/throwing with force or grappling an opponent. This also applies to physically moving or overpowering obstacles in your way.
DEFENSE
Your character's bodily resistance to withstand attacks or avoid taking damage entirely. The higher the Defense, the more effectively you can block attacks and the less likely you are to lose HP
STAMINA
Your character's Stamina determines their energy, endurance, and initiative both in and outside of combat. Increase this to keep yourself from tiring out easily, recover from fights, or maintain evasion of your opponent's moves.
SPECIAL
Your character's Special STAT tracks the progress of their unique abilities or style of martial arts/combat. Whether you use swordsmanship, blazing kicks, marksmanship or a Devil Fruit!
Each individual stat can be leveled to a max of 10 and the combined total of all STATS equal your Pirate's RANK. Starting out, each new character starts at Rank 5, beginning their adventure with 1 Level in all STATs!

As leaders of their Crews, Pirate Captains start at Rank 6, meaning they have 1 additional level to distribute to whatever STAT they choose.

Each STAT can be leveled up in whatever order you choose by completing missions, roleplay events or challenge prompts. They can also be obtained as bonuses awarded. The more you grow, and with enough Berries you can spend your earnings on items in the Shop that will increase your STATs, and in turn, your rank as a pirate!

Maxed out STATS that reach level 10 offer unique advantages in battle:
Participate in RP events, complete bounty missions and fight bosses that will earn you new levels to strengthen your abilities. By getting stronger, you'll unlock new abilities that will earn you the power needed to conquer the island's mysteries, work together to become the strongest crew out there!

Haki - Limit Breakers
Haki is a mysterious power that allows individuals to harness their own spiritual energy for various superhuman feats. As this energy manifests from willpower, it is theoretically open to all of the world's living creatures; the vast majority, however, are either ignorant or unable to achieve mastery. Haki users are common in the New World, rare in Paradise, and virtually non-existent in the Four Blues.

After reaching the Max level in a certain number of STATs, a certain level of Haki is revealed to your OC
Observation Haki
Awareness of Haki begins as Observation, or Kenbunshoku Haki. It is a form of Haki that grants the user a sixth sense that allows them to sense the presence, strength, and emotions of others, as well as gain limited precognitive abilities.
Armament Haki
Armament, or Busoshoku Haki is a form of Haki that allows the user to use their own spiritual energy / willpower to create, in essence, an invisible piece of armor around themself, providing incredible offensive and defensive capabilities.
Conqueror's Haki
Conqueror's Haki, or Haoshoku Haki is a rare form of Haki that allows the user to exert their own willpower over others. Unlike the other two types of Haki, this type cannot be awakened through training and only one in a million people are born with this ability.
